A Day in History

November 4, 2008

It’s so strange for me to think that in 20 years, my children will be reading about this day in textbooks. No matter the outcome of the election, this is a day that will go down in history.

This week has been extremely long already, and it is only Tuesday. I barely slept last night due to the Jason Mraz song “I’m Yours” and Callie’s great dance skills. It was quite the momentous occasion. I am about to fall asleep in BIble, but thanks to the below freezing air conditioner, that would be nearly impossible.

I dyed my hair last night, but of course, it looks nothing like the box. I cannot wait until Christmas break when I can make money to splurge on professional hair coloring. I definately miss my highlights from a while ago.

Last weekend when I came home, Momma and I voted and my sister bought a wedding dress, wooo!

Interesting

September 16, 2008

This week has been interesting, to say the least. Saturday we went to the football game, which was quite the dissapointment seeing as there are usually more people at a pee wee soccer game. They ended up winning 47-14!

On Sunday a few girls in my hall decided to drive to Dallas for the day to shop and get there hair done; two things that are pretty difficult to do in Abilene. It was definately nice to get my dose of big city and see my friends and family.

I came home and literally studied Astronomy until 1 in the morning. My body then decided to run a fever, which has still not gone away. This weekend should be good though, because my parents are coming!

I have class in twenty minutes.

New Piercing

September 10, 2008

Today my hall went to the tattoo parlor and everyone got either a tattoo or piercing! Here’s mine…

Happiness!

August 30, 2008

Being hesitant of this school at first, my mind has completely changed!

Last night the girls in my hall all planned our freshman follies routine, and I have never laughed so hard. We are giving an “iphone tutorial”, acting out different music videos and movies that you can watch! It will be pretty amusing.

Tonight all of us went to the mall and realized that we made a huge mistake. The stores here are pretty different from the stores I am used to in Plano. We walked for about 10 minutes and realized we had hit the end of the mall. But after all, we had fun. We went to the World Famous Bean for dinner and enjoyed some delicious lasagna. We then ventured to ice cream stand and got us some coffee ice cream that was heaven.

I am now watching ‘What Happens In Vegas’ with my lovely friend Kristen, and we are about to go church surfing at the RA rooms! I am definately having an amazing time, thanks to everyone who has been praying for me!

The first football game is in a couple weeks, which I am extremely excited about. I definately caught myself doing the Wildcat sign in a picture today, which made me feel like a real college student!

GO WILDCATS!

Classes

August 26, 2008

Yesterday I had an amazing first day of classes. My professors were all so nice and you could tell they really cared about us as individuals. This is definately the type of classroom setting I wanted!

Today I had my first Bible class. The professor has more knowledge of the Word than anyone I have ever known. I am definately really excited to see where that goes.

I’ll write more later, but I need to make my way to Chapel now!

College!

August 17, 2008

Today I moved into my dorm, how weird is that? I said goodbye to all of my friends last night, which was extremely depressing. This morning we left around 8:00 and hit rain that seemed to never end. We finally got here and moved everything in. The room looks great! I will make sure to keep everyone updated on what I am doing here and how it is going!

Blog World

August 7, 2008

I really stink at blogging. My life has nothing exciting so I feel like an idiot writing about pointless things. I’m sure that when I leave in a week I will start blogging more so that people will know what I am up to.

Last night we went and saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I loved it! What a girl movie! (even though Joe secretly liked it). The preview to HSM3 came on and Rachel and I just about died. Too bad Andy and Higgs missed out on it because they didn’t want to give up their man cards.

Josh comes home Saturday night, which makes me super happy! Colorado is neat and all, but I’m pretty sure that being home with us beats any mountain! I don’t think Joe and I really know how to function without him, which probably isn’t a good sign seeing as we’re leaving in a week.

Look at my new doggggg!

Joe and Josh

July 29, 2008

Tonight I sat outside with Joe and Josh until 1:30 in the morning. Josh played his guitar and we talked about what the future holds for us and what the past has offered us. These two boys have changed my life in ways that cannot be explained. They have taught me how to love and live for God. Josh has showed me how to truely worship God with my life. He will be famous one day for his music, mark my words. Joe has been my best friend for 3 years. He has been there for me an any challenge I have faced and brought me out of it. It is amazing how you can talk to two people for years, but when it comes to explaining what they have done for you, there are no words. I would not be the same person without them. We have cried, worshipped and bonded together the past 3 years and nothing could ever replace them.

I love Sundays!

July 28, 2008

Today I watched one of my best friends get baptised. I love watching people get baptised because it is one of the few traditions that has stayed the same since the Bible was written. I am so proud of everyone who was baptised today and was very excited that Dan got to do it!

Mexico Mission Trip

July 27, 2008

What a week.

We returned from Mexico this morning, which marked the end to the most life changing week I have experienced. I could attempt to write about the ways in which God worked, but I would not know where to start. It is amazing to see everything i have read about in the Bible be put into actions. It is so easy to sit back and know that other people are spreading the Word throughout the nations, but to do it yourself is a whole new experience. I wish I could express the feelings that I have right now, but it would be pointless to even try.
